The Full Experience: IWD Designs, Develops, and Launches 6th Gear’s Racing Experience Website

We are excited to announce that 6th Gear is going full throttle with their brand new website. 6th Gear provides full-day, high-speed lapping experiences for the car and driving enthusiasts among us. They recently came to us wanting a modern, custom-built site that catered to their needs and to the needs of their customers. We developed a theme for 6th Gear that not only showcases their one-of-a-kind events, highlighting visitor experiences, but also enabled 6th Gear to cultivate their growing community by integrating social media and creating a robust news feed.

6th Gear couldn’t be happier, “As a tool to bring new people to our events and keep existing customers informed of our group’s activities, the new website looks great and is easily updated and managed by ourselves.” By catering to their specific requests and integrating WordPress into the backend of the web design we made sure 6th Gear could smoothly manage their own content instead of constantly having to outsource. “This will greatly reduce cost and time requirements for us to keep the content updated and current. IWD were always fast to respond to our questions and very patient explaining some of the more involved aspects of web development to us to allow us to get a feel for what we really wanted from our new site.”

The 6th Gear team says, “Initial proof-of-concepts were surprisingly on-track considering how terrible our descriptions of what we wanted to see were and revisions and tweaks were completed reliably and quickly towards the finished product we’d hoped for. Even a last minute curve ball with our desire to use a completely new shopping cart system sprung on IWD right before launch was swiftly integrated into the design without any real fuss at all.”
